While helping a friend start her own jewelry business, Anne Bliss discovered the joy of using fine motor skills to create beautiful objects.  Starting with bookmarks and wine charms, Anne was then asked to create Buffalo themed key chains and zipper pulls for Buffalo Fleece and Outerwear.  When they asked her to make jewelry for the store, she discovered her true passion, and thus Bliss Designs was born. 

Attracted to the natural beauty of semi-precious stones and  freshwater pearls, Anne designs pieces that are elegant and timeless, yet incorporate Anne’s unique touch.  Her style can best be described as “kicked up classic.” By starting with the best quality components available, Anne’s pieces are also durable and lasting. 

Anne’s jewelry can be found at several gift shops and local art shows.  She also creates custom pieces for individual clients. 

In addition to Bliss Designs, Anne is very involved in local arts organizations.  As co-founder of Bliss and Bejewelled, Anne has helped raise over thirty-three thousand dollars for local charities, including Hospice Foundation and Gilda’s Club WNY.  She is co-founder of Urban Artisans, a network of local artisans and she is treasurer of Artists in Buffalo, Inc. 

Anne’s support of local art extends to the artists themselves, as she spends a great deal of time mentoring, guiding and encouraging local artists to follow their bliss.
